Despite being false, this report has been shared vigorously on posts throughout social media sources, including Reddit, Threads, X (formerly Twitter), and Facebook.

The op-ed delved into the combat and media tactics employed by Hamas during the October 7 attack, and every day since.

The IDF presented a copy of the document, in Arabic, which it said listed Hamza as a dual-hat terrorist-journalist for Islamic Jihad.

Hagari also stated that IDF soldiers recently uncovered an underground Hamas military compound on the coast in the central Gaza Strip.
