The cyber security start-up company Mitiga, which develops solutions to detect, investigate and respond to cyber attacks in the cloud and in SaaS applications, is the only Israeli company that made it to the finals of the prestigious innovation competition of the RSA 2024 conference to be held next week in San Francisco, USA. Mitiga was included in the final list of 10 companies that made it to the finals of the RSA Sandbox innovation competition in the 18th year of the competition. Over the years, this competition has been a significant jumping-off point for pioneering Israeli and international companies in the field of cyber security.

The RSA conference was founded in 1991 by the RSA Security company that developed a new encryption method and was mostly devoted entirely to encryption issues. Over the years, the conference has turned from a relatively small professional event in the field of encryption to the summit conference of the cyber security industry that focuses on cloud security, applications, AI technologies and more. The conference is held every year in the USA, Europe, Asia and the United Arab Emirates. The conference in the USA is attended by about 45,000 cyber experts, cyber company managers, entrepreneurs, investors, government officials and more. 500 companies present their cyber solutions and industry leaders present their cyber vision in 500 lectures and panels.

Mitiga upgrades the capabilities of organizations' Cyber Command (SOC) in the era of the cloud through advanced capabilities in the fields of visibility, threat detection, investigation and response to attacks in cloud environments and SaaS applications. The time required to identify, investigate and respond to them - and this within a few hours compared to over 200 days today.

Tal Mozes, co-founder and CEO of Mitiga: "Our inclusion in the final list of companies nominated for the RSA Sandbox Innovation Award is not only a great honor but also proof of our vital role in today's cyber security landscape. As representatives of the Israeli cyber security industry, we are excited to present the way in which Israeli technology provides an answer to the need of organizations around the world for comprehensive management of threats against the cloud."

Mitiga was founded in 2019 by Tal Mozes, who serves as the company's CEO, Ofer Maor the CTO, and Ariel Farnes the COO. Mozes and Maor are serial entrepreneurs in the cyber field who were co-founders of the companies: Seeker Security which was purchased by the software giant Synopsis, and Hacktics acquired by Ernst & Young. After the sale of Hacktics, Tal Mozes served as Ernst & Young's cyber operations manager. After the sale of Seeker Security, Ofer Maor took part in the acquisitions of 8 other companies in the field. Ariel Farnes served for over 20 years in 8200 in a variety of intelligence, IT, offensive and defensive cyber roles, and network warfare.

Since its inception, Mitiga has raised $45 million, of which $38 million in round A completed in early 2023 led by ClearSky and with the participation of Glilot Capital Partners, Samsung Next, Blackstone, Atlantic Bridge and DNX. Following the growing demand for the company's solutions, Mitiga raised a significant investment from Cisco's investment arm. The capital raisings helped promote product innovation, expand the customer base, as well as expand the platform and the status of employees.

The company employs 60 people, 40 of them in Israel and it is recruiting additional workers for its offices in Israel, New York and London. Among the clients of the company's managed service are 500 leading organizations in the world, among them companies from Fortune magazine's list of the 500 largest organizations that base their cloud protection on the company's solutions.
