In the current season, classic blue or black denim is taking a backseat to another equally desirable and easy-to-wear shade: gray jeans. A quick glance at the latest fashion weeks around the globe reveals how this chromatic clarity is reclaiming its place and rising in popularity.

After the 2000s frenzy around warm-toned, often heavily distressed denim, which made a comeback in 2023, gray jeans now take a dignified place alongside their counterparts. Many designers and fashion houses have reembraced the trend in their recent spring-summer collections, proving that gray jeans? They can be worn and paired with everything.

Spanish brand Loewe opted for high-waisted cuts, replaced tapered trousers, and redefined the optional office wear's character. At Diesel, denim specialists for many years, the ice denim comes in a total look, synonymous with the brand, and various pockets of denim skirts and chic casual-style jackets. And of course, the trend has reached the street style of fashionistas worldwide and Instagram, so here's an excellent glimpse into the inspiration board on the subject.

Oversized, skinny, slim-fit, low-rise, shorts, dresses, or jackets: gray jeans are everywhere on the fashionable streets and have replaced (even if only for the near future) the timeless blue or black jeans. The pleasant charcoal hues keep popping up on our radar incessantly; they're just as good as classic black jeans, but with a fresher, even more neutral vibe. Will you give them a chance?
