Etsu Gin, Agat&D

Diligent importer Agat&D highlights a superb Japanese gin on its shelves, boasting an equally impressive achievement.

Etsu, meaning "pleasure" in Japanese, hails from Asahikawa Distillery in Hokkaido. It’s crafted using local botanicals like juniper berries, licorice, angelica root, and coriander seeds, distilled over 22 hours with water from Mount Taisetu.

Recently, it clinched a gold medal at the IWSC Gin Awards 2024. Tasting it confirms the high praise often showered on similar Japanese craft products. Its traditional recipe and modern process result in a unique gin, very gentle and balanced, perfect with tonic and excellent in more complex cocktails. Price: NIS 195-209.

Roso Snap Boxes, Cook and Bake

The excellent home goods chain expands its shelves and catalogs, launching a new, highly demanded collection.

Roso Snap boxes have confidently entered the storage products market, offering convenience, organization, and easy hermetic opening and closing. The series currently includes square boxes ranging from 400 ml to 2.5 liters (introductory prices until the end of July from NIS 20.94 to NIS 41.94), tall boxes from 1 to 3.9 liters (NIS 29.94-50.94), a wide 700 ml box (NIS 23.94), and a black 2.5-liter coffee capsule storage box (NIS 41.94).

Early claims of reliability have been validated. A satisfying click signals potential freshness, the materials feel durable for frequent use and cleaning, and the design opts for classic over trendy, rightly so.

Simply Energy Bar, Torr and Strauss

The food giant and food-tech company collaborate to deliver an exciting new energy bar, focusing on eliminating added sugar and artificial sweeteners.

This launch, a product of Strauss’s food-tech incubator The Kitchen, includes bars in three flavors: Fruits and Nuts with Banana and Coconut, Fruits and Nuts with Figs and Pistachios, and Fruits and Almonds with Olives and Spices, under the parent brand.

The discussed technology sidelines honey and date syrup, glucose, and other common ingredients, deriving sugar solely from the raw materials. The result is unique and interesting, and genuinely good enough to not be mere decoration. The combinations are cute and original, the texture feels real, and the bottom line is a hit.
