Designing apartments for long-term rental is a challenge in itself. How can you design a living space without knowing who will be in it?

The developer wanted the Tel Aviv penthouse apartment to have a clear design identity, but also that the future tenants could arrange it in their own image. How did he get it? He joined forces with architect Limor Bashan and together they created a light-flooded penthouse apartment with a minimalist and unique design for tenants who love Tel Aviv.

The penthouse apartment, in one of the oldest neighborhoods of the city, covers an entire floor and is surrounded by balconies (total of 300 square meters) overlooking an urban landscape and the sea that welcome those who enter the apartment.

From the entrance, the space is divided into two: on the left, a central space that includes a living room with access to the balcony, a dining area and a kitchen that also has its own balcony, and a hidden door to the master unit. To the right of the entrance are the children's rooms and their bathroom.

The entrance wall to the apartment is covered entirely with white wooden bars, including the door to the apartment and the guest bathroom door to create a clean and modern look. A free standing sink and an impressive ceiling faucet with straight and clean lines were chosen for the hidden guest services.

Light wood tones, white and black throughout the entire apartment and light gray 300/100 floor tiles with fine grain create a harmonious and quiet space together: the living room carpentry wall integrates with the entrance door to the master suite and with the kitchen carpentry which continues with a media element that rotates towards the wall and integrates the guest services and the entrance door to the apartment The carpentry in the apartment, except for the kitchen, was specially built by a master carpenter and hides the air conditioning system, the washing machines and, of course, storage that allows the spaces to be kept neat and clean.

The lowered ceiling contains systems such as a smart home, sprinklers, audio system and hidden lighting including disconnection details, so the tenants can control different scenarios of lighting, music and temperature and change the atmosphere in the space according to the mood or need. The central space in the apartment is suitable for entertaining but maintains functionality with hidden storage spaces and durable materials suitable for a rental property.

The selected lighting fixtures reinforce the clean minimal design line in the entire apartment: thin recessed lighting strips create a free composition in the ceiling. At certain points, such as in the dining area, the lighting fixtures stand out and create a focal point.

The spacious master suite also faces a large balcony with an urban view. The passage to the bathroom of the suite is from the closet through transparent doors that create more space and light in the space, in addition, one side of the room's closets is covered with floor-to-ceiling mirrors. In the bathroom itself, there is a wide shower and a standindang bathtub that allow for pleasant relaxation in front of the urban view from the adjacent balcony. The new tenants can relax and feel at home, in style.
