In a historic move, the G20 Interfaith Forum welcomed its first ever Israeli Orthodox Jewish organization this week in Brazil, giving the Jewish community a seat at the table

Among the priorities of the G20 include reform of the United Nations and other multilateral organizations, fighting climate change, and reducing hunger and poverty in the world.

There is a timetable, which makes this perhaps more relevant than the East-Med pipeline idea and is calling for working groups to meet in 60 days.

The focus of this G20 was the Global South and eventually a surprise alliance: The India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC).

Two central initiatives were announced with great fanfare. Neither was new, but both are now prioritized and moving forward full throttle. 

The proposed plan would link India with Europe through rail, gas, and fiber optics lines that run through Israel and Saudi Arabia.

The International Criminal court has issued arrest warrants against Putin for the war in Ukraine, but Lula has said Brazil will not carry out the arrest.

Both Israel and Saudi Arabia would play a role in the project, and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to make an announcement in the coming hours.

The post-pandemic world order is very different from the world before it. There are three important changes, among others.

Because there is apparently no size limit, these proposals, if adopted, could shake up Israeli and international routine trade and tax across the 143 countries signed up to the OECD/G20 alliance.

The UN chief also called on G20 leaders to ensure a stimulus of at least $500 billion per year towards meeting the Sustainable Development Goals.
